Our History
Where It All Began
Kuyvenhoven Greenhouses comes from a long family heritage of Dutch growers. The business began in Westland Holland and was brought over to Canada in the late 1950’s. For years, the family operation was run by the late Karl Kuyvenhoven, his wife and children. During this time, the family excelled at growing chrysanthemums – this has been the signature product of the business since 1969.
Today, CEO Andy Kuyvenhoven (Karl’s son) and his wife Mary, have expanded the business to have two locations and a variety of products to offer. Currently, Andy and Mary work alongside their two sons Peter and Michael and continue to move forward in the industry. With seven young grandchildren running around the farm, it is almost certain that the family business will be carried on for generations to come.
